Dance Lessons

Dance lessons

One of the most magical parts of the Diamond Masquerade Ball is stepping onto the dance floor with confidence.

To help guests prepare for the evening, Erica Franco, creator and producer of the Diamond Masquerade Ball, will be offering optional dance lessons before the event.

Designed with beginners in mind, these relaxed and enjoyable classes will introduce guests to the English country dances featured during the ball. You'll learn the formations, calls, and figures you'll encounter on the ballroom floor, making it easy to join the dancing on event night.

Whether you're attending with a partner, a group of friends, or on your own, everyone is welcome.

No partner or previous dance experience is required.

What You'll Learn

  • English country dances featured at the Diamond Masquerade Ball

  • Common dance formations and figures

  • Ballroom etiquette and dance floor confidence

  • Tips for dancing comfortably in formal attire

What Should I Wear?

Most guests attend the lessons in comfortable clothing such as T-shirts, leggings, athletic shorts, and comfortable shoes suitable for dancing.

If you'd like to practice dancing in your ball gown, you're welcome to do so! Many guests enjoy seeing how their gown moves on the dance floor and becoming comfortable dancing in it before the big evening.

If you choose to wear your gown, we recommend selecting one without a train and wearing shoes that are comfortable for dancing.

Lesson Information

Lesson dates, times, location, pricing, and registration information will be announced as they become available.

Be sure to check back for updates!

Why Attend?

While the lessons are completely optional, they are a wonderful way to become familiar with the dances, meet fellow guests, and feel even more confident before the ball.

By the time the music begins on ball night, you'll already know where to go, what to expect, and how the dances flow, leaving you free to relax and simply enjoy the magic of the evening.
